Quoine is one of the 19 licensed cryptocurrency exchanges in Japan (License #00002), approved by the official Japanese regulatory authority - Japan Financial Services Agency (JFSA). In 2014 the company launched a fiat-to-crypto trading platform in Japan, while in 2017 a crypto-to-crypto exchange was established. These platforms have merged to create the foundation for Liquid. At present, Liquid Exchange, developed by Quoine, is a global trading platform that provides services to clients of various scale and needs across the world. Its original internally-developed technologies include World Book, Prime Brokerage, System Co-Location, Automated Trading Strategies, AI-based crowdsourced algorithms, and innovative trading tools. Quoine is the issuer of Quoine Liquid Token - QASH - an ERC20 utility token, emitted in the total amount of 1 billion tokens. QASH token is approved for trade by JFSA in the territory of Japan.
